Synopsis:

On May 13, 1969, following the Malaysian general election, tension filled the air. Ah Eng and her mother watched an opera, "The Injustice to Dou E: Show in June" at a temple, while her father and brother attended the "Majestic Theatre" to watch the Taiwanese film "The Jilted". Unexpectedly, riots broke out, the government declared martial law, and blood was shed in Kuala Lumpur. Ah Eng's father and brother went missing without a trace... Forty-nine years later, on the same date, Ah Eng is on a quest to find the remains of her father and brother at a chaotic burial ground. There she meets Dou E, the former opera troupe master. Together, they relive that tragic historical episode's silent and powerless memories...
