Datuk Wira Jment Lim was honoured with the 2025 Outstanding Filmmaker Award by the Chinese Film Association of Malaysia. The Association recognised his long-standing contributions to creating opportunities and resources for Malaysia’s local film industry, building platforms for creators to realise their dreams, and playing an important role in advancing the industry at various stages of its development.
The film projects he has participated in as an investor span diverse genres, including Mother Bhumi, Key To Happiness, Pavane for an Infant, I Want to Be Rich, OMG! Mom’s Big News, Snow in Midsummer, Small Town Heroes, and Zombitopia.
He has also initiated and supported programmes such as the SunStrong Entertainment’s Scam Prevention Short Film Contest, the World Chinese Microfilm Competition, and the Thousands of Years Media Best Micro Drama Competition. These initiatives provide platforms for emerging directors and creative teams, contributing lasting positive impact to Malaysia’s film industry.
