Press Conference "Snow In Midsummer"

The upcoming movie ’Snow In Midsummer’ produced by SunStrong Entertainment, August Pictures, Taipei Film Commission and Janji Pictures held a press conference at Paragon Mall today. This movie is the second feature film of Malaysian Director Chong Keat Aun which comprises of actors and actresses from Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan: Pearlly Chua (Malaysia), One Fang (Taiwan), Peter Yu (Singapore)，Cheng Jen Shuo (Taiwan), Pauline Tan (Malaysia) and Alvin Wong (Malaysia)

It has been 17 years since the film was prepared for shooting. The film's script won the CNC Cash Award at Taipei Golden Horse Film Project Promotion (FPP) in year 2020. This is another story of Director Chong Keat Aun that will be brought to the big screen after his previous film ‘Nan Wu’ that won 9 awards at various international film festivals.

The films storylines starts way back in the 1950s where actors of the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera travelled to Southeast Asia and took up roots in Malaysia. This is the story which will take us back in time to the grassroots of local Chinese community in Malaysia.
