“Snow in Midsummer” has finally been reviewed and approved by the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia (LPF) with an 18 rating. The film is scheduled for a nationwide release in mid-July.

Co-produced by Malaysia’s SunStrong Entertainment, Janji Pictures, Taipei Film Commission, TAICCA, Swallow Wings Films, and August Pictures, the film is directed by Chong Keat Aun and took 14 years to craft. It offers a profound portrayal of the social unrest and turbulence in Malaysia during the backdrop of the “513 Incident” in 1969.
