Great News! PAVANE FOR AN INFANT continues its journey at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2025!
Produced by SunStrong Entertainment, Offline Pictures, Southern Islet Pictures and Janji Pictures, director Chong Keat Aun’s latest film Pavane for an Infant has been selected for the ASIAN COLLECTION at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival! Starring Fish Liew, Natalie Hsu, Ben Yuen, Pearlly Chua, and Yuan Teng, the film with real-life setting of Malaysia’s baby hatch gives voice to women who suffer quietly in society.
According to the official announcement, the ASIAN COLLECTION highlights notable works by acclaimed Asian filmmakers, offering a rich panorama of Asia’s cinematic diversity. The curated lineup includes 18 must-see new films, featuring renowned directors and stars. Notable selections include Grand Maison Paris starring Japanese actor Takuya Kimura, and After the Quake, a Haruka Mukarami adaptation by Japanese director Tsuyoshi Inoue. All films will screen from June 13-22 in Shanghai!
SIFF will be showing three screenings of PAVANE FOR AN INFANT on June 15, 17, and 18, so stay tuned!
